Why I chose "Marked"

I really enjoyed reading the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer so i thought that I would give this one a try. I went to Barnes and Noble with my sister one day and saw the series and thought it would be fun to read on sprink break. I read the first 2 chapters and gave up. The front gives off kind of an erie look because it is about weird vampyres(and yes thats how the author spelled it in the book. Well see how it goes!

Christine de Pizan
Growing up during the Renaissance was no easy task for anyone. Knowing that life as a female would be hard from a young age made me wonder how much could and would be done to change that. My name is Christine de Pizan, and little did I know, I would not only become a well respected writer, but also one of the women that had the strength and will to change the views of people that were against women having power. The area in which I lived in back then was ruled by patriarchal power, which meant that the higher powered men ruled. As a young woman during the Renaissance with an already hard life, I had the hope and strength within me to become one that showed a deep enough love for gender equality to be the one to make the difference.
At age 15 my life was changed forever. I was married to a man named Étienne du Castel, our marriage, to my surprise, worked out a lot more than I had thought it would. After that, my life dramatically changed. The king that I had been living with (Charles V.) died along with the death of my husband 5 years later. Life was hard, I was not only providing for myself and my children, but also for my niece and my mother. This change to my life brought on a lot more responsibility than I had ever imagined. After realizing that life would be way too difficult to live through, I became a writer. My becoming a writer, and being supported and listened to by many helped me to be able to change the world today.
The writing that changed is all was mostly autobiographical, meaning that I was writing about myself. My first ballad written was named “Letter to the God of Love”, which is where my confrontations of changing the misogony began. Never did I know that so many different types of people would be behind me on my opinions. I was the not the first to speak up and make that change happen. In 1399, this letter to God was just the beginning. New hatreds began to brew throughout the area that I was writing to, which meant that I hate made a small difference to opening new things to women all around that are. Along with writing “Letter to the God of Love”, I wrote “The Tale of the Rose”, and also the “Hymn of Joan of Arc”. The Hymn if Joan of Arc was a poem that was dedicated to Joan of Arc for Joan being one of those women that made an effort towards more equality between men and women. Every person makes a difference to the world, and I am proud to be one of those special people.
The Hymn of Joan Arc was my last piece of writing, and I am happy to have had that as my last. I feel that by dedicating something that became as well known as it has shows that women really did try to make a difference, and eventually, with the help of other women, we succeeded. Men chose to not listen, and by them showing that they were not interested, they gave us the chance to be able to think up many things that would give us women a chance to think of something that would change all minds into believing that we are all equal. We could all think and agree on the same things, but you men would never allow that to happen.
My major accomplishment now known to all is being the one women in that time period, standing up for the things that I believed in. We have every right to be able to do the same things as men, but only years ago has it began to show through the power held up high, out of our reach. We women broke through your barriers and showed that we were done taking the stuff that you men have given to us. We proved to you that we have the same amounts of education, opinions, and even maybe we could make this world a better place. Without women like me, Christine de Pizan, women like Hillary Clinton would have never had the support and knowledge to be able to even think about becoming a women president. Times have changed from good to even better. I’m sure that before I was trying to fix everything, women working for any sort of pay would be happy to have even that much of a privilege.

New Moon pt 3

Bella kept hearing Edwards voice everytime that she would do something that could potentially hurt her. Were the voices real, or was she just going crazy? The truck that Bella's dad, Charlie got for her in the beggining of the first book, had the engine rebuilt by Jacob. And Bella knew that he loved doing that kind of stuff. When the two of them were together, they were almost always in the tool shed at Jacob house. One day, while Bella was driving home from somewhere, she saw two bikes on the side of the road that didnt work, yet. So she brought them to Jacob without telling anyone, and she told Jacob that she wanted him to fix them so that they could go out and ride. And so that maybe she could hear Edward voice again. So know whenever she goes over to Jacobs, she gets to watch him work on their bikes.

New Moon pt2

Sorry for anyone that has more recently read this, i havnt read since before the movie came out. So after Edward tells Bella that him and his family are leaving, he took everything. The cd that he had given her, their pictures, and much more. She was heartbroke, literally. For months and months all she did was go work, and do school work. Until Jacob came to the rescue. He was her new moon, her point in starting over, and getting better. He was always there for her, and they hung out like aeveryday after school. They were inseperable. Bellas friends all hated her know because she was so boring, but she had her reasons. Jacob was falling in love, but Bella stilled believed that Edward would come back. Bella kept feeling the heartbreak growing, and she would have random spazes and couldn't breath. But when ever she was with Jacob, all of her pains and worries would go away.

Midnight sun Part 1

Over break, I finished Breaking which is the last book of the Twilight series. You can read about those in my previous blogs. I also finished Midnight Sun, which is Twilight only instead of the book being in Bella's perspective like all the other books, it is in Edwards(the vampire). The book hasn't been finished yet, because someone leaked it out to the internet withouut the authros permission, so it iso only 264 pages long, and stops abruptly. The book starts out with Edward first look of Bella. They are in the luch room, the same as in Twilight, and he is not able to read her thoughts, and it is making him nervous. The only way that he knows somewhat she is saying and thinking is by listening to the girls thoughts that are sitting next to Bella. He knows that she is asking about him, but can't seem to know what about. He tries not to concentrate too much on the girl, because he knows that nothing about her will change.

The article talks about Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, who in the movie becomes very good friends with Bella. The second actress that was there was the person that playe Victoria, Rachelle Lefevre, who is a vampire that is trying to help in the killing of the
