Blog 4 New Moon Part 1

If you have not yet read New Moon or Twilight don’t read this!

New Moon is the sequel to Twilight. I personally didn’t think that it was as good, because Edward is in like 1/8 of this book. So, after letting Bella gets attacked by James, who is a tracker that is obsessed with Bella’s blood, she gets better, and causes even more problems. The first part of the book happens on her birthday. She has been invited over to Edwards’s house to celebrate with the rest of the family. While opening on of her presents, she cuts one of her fingers, which sets Jasper (the newest member to the Cullen family) on a rampage for her blood. Edward risks his life to keep Jasper off of Bella so that he doesn’t kill her. But while protecting her, he ends up throwing her onto a glass table which crashes with her getting cuts everywhere on her body. Carlisle (the “father” of the Cullen family), who is a doctor, sews her wounds up while the others try to calm Jasper. She was brought home after that exhausting night and put to bed. The next day started out bad and got even worse. She woke up knowing that it was going to be an off day because of the series of events that went on the night before. She meet Edward in the woods and he ended up telling her the worst thing that you could possibly imagine: he and his family were leaving. He thought that it would be better for her if he no longer stayed. From then on “It was as if he’d never existed”. They both knew that they still loved each other and she could not seem to understand, and then he just walked away. We meet Sam Uley, who turns out to be a more important character in the future.

Twighlight part 2

So after dinner, the two of them start hanging out alot more. He watches everything that she does, to make sure that she is safe. After all of the questions asked at dinner, she think that she has a better understanding of what he is, either a radiocactive spider, or a superman. He finally tells her what he is, but only by slowly giving her clues that would make it more obvious. He uis a vampire, that was bornin 1901, so he is 100 and something. Him and her get more seious and everyday ,the two of them learn whay more than they should. Hetakes her home to meet his family, and tells her many more stories. She learns that Carlisle, who was te doctor that helped her after the car incident is his "father". He is 300 and something and was the first part of the family. Carlisle became a docter, and that is how he found Edward. He was suffering from the spanish influenza at the age of 17 and both of his parents were already dead. Then came along Esme, the "mother". She had just lost her baby and trying to commit suicide by jumping off of a cliff. Carlisle nursed her back to health. Then came Alice, who was supposed to be for Edward, but it never worked out. She found Jasper, who had just been attacked by a pack of bears(i think). And she along with all of the others nursed him back to health. Then came Emmet, and Rosalie, who were also together. That is how the family started.

Twighlight part 1

I finished the book last night and just have to write more about it! And if you havn't read the book, and don't want me to ruin it for you, then don't read this. So, Bella moves to Forks because her mom is getting married and has to travel the country with her new hubby. She moves in to her dads house right as school is about to start, which is perfect. Her dad is a cop that lives alone and never cooks anything. So he gets alot of help from Bella in taking care of him, in a healthy way. So the first day of school, she meets lots of new people and this guy named Edward, who, on that day, looks like her wants to kill her, which he does. She has no idea why, and realizes that they next few days he didn't come to school. She thinks that it's because of her, and it is. So then he comes back, and they end up doing a lab together in science, and she realizes that he is actually very nice. So then they satrt liking each other, and he saves her from a van almost hitting her. She realizes how different he is from everyone else and really want to talk to him again. Then he disapears again, and then out of nowhere saves her from 4 older guys, and takes her out to dinner. They both figure eachother out by asking tons and tons of questions. But she still can't seem to know what he really is.

Twighlight

After the first chapter i was obsest(however you spell it). This book is about a girl named Bella who moves from Phoenix, Ar to Forks, Ar. It has been a big change, but quickly finds friends and people to relate to. She eventually meets Edward, who is horrifyingly evil at first, but eventually turns nice. From the beggining, they had to have known that they were meant for each other. He tells her almost everything that she asks him, as does she with him, but i wont say anything because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Anyways, they fall in love, and are from now on inceperable!! Everything is good, until the baseball game, which is nothing like the game that we play. Bad vampires show up and want to kill Bella, but Edward would never let her get into trouble, or danger of anything. James, which is one of the bad vampires, is officially after her. But only so much because of the feelings and protection that Edward has towards her. Im saying no more because I will for surely spill to much. But it is like the best book ever, and anyone that wants to read it should because it relates to everyone out there, and they will end up falling in love with the series.

Blog #6 Charlottes Web pg. 52-85

After Wilbur found out that he was eventually going to be killed by ferns uncle, he needed to be calmed down be Charlotte. She would be there for him through all of his troubles. After that horrible news, the setting changed and went back to Fern. She was having a family dinner and was talking about all of the interesting things that were going on at the farm. She kept saying things that the animals said, and her mom got worried. Grownups just don't dont understand somethings. Fern and Avery, her older brother, went to the farm after super to go on the swing, and so that Fern could visit Wilbur. The two of them swang for an hour before going to see Wilbur. Avery saw Charlotte and was facinated, and was going to catch her, but lost his balance while climbing on Wilburs trough fell and ended up cracking the egg that never hatched. The smell was discusting, but eventually went away. Charlotte finally came up with an idea to save Wilburs life, by writing words in her web. The next day, when Lurvy, a worker at the farm, came out to feed Wilbur his breakfast, he noticed that the web said something, "Some Pig". The fog made it alot more clear than what it would have been without he of. Lurvey was so shocked that he went inside to get Mr Zuckermann(Ferns Uncle), to show him how special the pig was. The whole family was so excited that Mr Zuckermann called the minister of the county and told him all about thie pig, soon the whole county was at the farm looking at the web. It was a major breakthrough for Wilbur and him maybe living longer.

Blog #5 Charlotts Web pg 13-51

Wilbur enjoys being at Ferns unlcles farm. Although it is not as fun as ferns place, he can still find things to do in his spare time of not eating. The animals that are on the farm consist of sheep, cows, rats, chickens, horses, geese, many others, and a beautiful intellegent sprider who I will get into later on in the blog. In the beginning of Wilbur living at the new farm, he is lonely and bored, like everyone else. He is in a pen all by himself with with the manure pile. He starts talking to a goose about a loose board, and he escapes, but the farmers get him back in using the old slops trick, where the farmers luer(?) him back into the pen using food, that obviously looked good enough to Wilbur to get him back into his pen. He later on befriends a rat that is ocnstantly looking for things to reck or steal. Fern is no longer able to come out and see him as much because of school or the weather being bad. One night, Wilbur was very sad and lonely and couldnt fall asleep, and then heard a soft gentil voice coming from somewhere near him saying, "I will be your friend, but go to sleep and I will see you in the morning". Now is that a good way to relax someone into going to sleep. After that Wilbur was not able to fall asleep. Finally, after waiting many hours, the sun began to show over the horizon. After waking all of the animals trying to find whoever spoke to him the night before, she finally showed herself. She was a big gray spider about the size of a gumdrop. She was a very nice spider. The goose had 7 gooslings and it was the talk of the farm. Wilbur heard from an old sheep that he was going to be killed during the winter, and couldnt believe his ears. He was very sad from then on.

Blog #4 Charlotts Web pg 3-12

Title of book: Charlotts Web
Written by: E.D. White

Charlotts Web is a heart warming story about a girl named Fern and her pig,Wilbur. The story begins with the father walking towards the pig pen about to kill the runt. Fern sees him and makes him stop. She makes him think hard on the next decision that he is going to make. He decides to let Fern take full responsibility of the piglet. She later on names him Wilbur. The baby pig is fed around 5 time each day, ine early in the morning, again at noon, after Fern returns home from school, at suppertime, and once again, right before going to bed. Being the runt makes him more special than otheres, and make Fern want to care for him even more than she would any other. As the story gets more into the main idea, Wilbur grows a ton, and has to be sent down the road to Ferns uncles farm. It is within walking distance of her farm, but to Fern it feels like miles. Hopefullly he will like his new home, expcially being sofar from him best friend.

Blog #2: Reading Heartland

Over the past year or so, I have not read many books, but there was a series that I really enjoyed reading. It is called Heartland and it is written by Lauren Brooks. She writes about many characters and their experiences with horses. Of course only I would write about them, but I have not really read anything other than this series, which includes around 25 books. The first one that I read was towards the end of the series, so I was sort of lost, but it was still amazing. So the series is about a group of people who are related some way or another, and they pretty much put horses through rehab. Through out the 16th book, I got introduced to the characters and got a lot of info on the animals that they were working with. I love the series and plan on continuing reading them. So far I have read 16-20 and 1- 7, I think. I will probably end up rereading them like many other people that reread there favorite books.

A book that I liked

I didn't really read anything over the summer, but last year in english I read the Chronicals of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and thought that after seeing the movie it was awesome. Every person that reads this has probably read it or at least seen the movie, so ill just tell you some differences. In the movie, when Cedric walks into the Queens castle for the first time, he was freaked out by the wolve that he thought was fake but was actually real. And in reading the book, he was actually afraid of a lion that he thought was real, but was actually made out of stone. Another was when the beaver was first introduced in the book, he came out of nowhere and started telling the kids to follow him, while in the movie, he prentended to not even be able to talk. I found the book to be alot more confusing, because of it being alot more detailed and me being a very visual learner.
